I'm Liz Murby, Numina Consulting's MD and principal supply chain consultant. I've been independently consulting for around 25 years now which shows I love what I do. A big plus about my job is getting to work with so many different companies and seeing the things that people do differently and yet seeing the same-old challenges over again.

Since consulting, I've had assignments with over 25 companies, encompassing at least 40 different projects and worked on over a dozen forecasting and replenishment system implementations. I've had assignments in Europe, the US and South Africa.

In addition to working with many supply chain software systems developed in-house, I've worked with Oracle Demand Forecasting and Advanced Inventory Planning, Microsoft Dynamics, Aldata (Symphony) Solutions and Worldwide Chain Stores Systems.

I come from a user background, having been responsible for maintaining stock levels as an inventory manager for a DIY Retailer. Then I joined a leading supply chain software supplier as their European Business Specialist for a few years before heading off on my own.

I get involved with various groups and associations. I'm a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. I'm a fully accredited Prince2 Practitioner with the APM Group and a member of Women In Logistics UK.

Whilst I'm a business focused consultant, I have a hint of 'geek' about me and have developed some technical skills. I learned how to code and use SQL and Query. This helps me get to the data, look at program logic and comes in handy when interfacing with technical resource.
