David Murby BSc, MBA. Consultant and Director of Numina Consulting

David Murby has held a variety of senior management roles covering technology and commercial management. Having worked in the industry since 1999, David has a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by European general insurers and the organizations that are supporting them.

David has worked with the majority of major general insurers in the UK on projects in claims management and underwriting services. As a senior manager he has been on the steering group for several major change projects delivering on multi million pound cost/benefit cases.

As an independent consultant with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges of the motor insurance and body repair industry, David focusses on strategy development, market analysis and innovation. He has worked with a number of international organisations looking at UK market entry strategies as well as with UK companies looking to improve their approach and offerings. A well known speaker and moderator, David has also written articles for trade publications.

David’s career history includes his role as the Managing Director of the Insurance Services Division of Experian Ltd, a FTSE100 company. David also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Director and Product Development Director at Audatex (UK) Ltd, a key supplier to the general insurance claims industry. Earlier in his career, David had a highly technical start as a programmer and systems implementation manager.

Prior to his involvement in the insurance industry, David spent 5 years working with major retailers in the UK and across Europe in Supply Chain Management.
